sorry for all the questions guys but i seem to spend more time tinkering than driving. what is the best spark plugs to use, have you found that there is a particular make and type to use? also how hard is it to adjust the shims? are there any specailist tools that i'm going to need and if i do it wrong how bad will it go? i consider myself to be a good diy mechanic and have tackled most jobs on other cars such as removing engine, replacing valves and cam belts etc.

I can't help with the spark plugs I'm afraid, but for the valve clearances you really ought to download the Cerbera manual. It's in the servicing part:

NGK - BKR5EKU are the plugs.

is it worth fitting the twin tip or quad tip ones?

The only benefit from those is increased plug life, which is irrelevant to you if you maintain the car according to the service schedule.

i think greenv8s has a fair point, if i'm going to change them every 6k whats the point of buying longlife plugs. cheers guys
