Kangaroo TV - worth it for Silverstone?

Got the tickets today - just wonderd whether anyone has used the Kangaroo TV thing and if its really worth it?

Its not exactly expensive (compared to the tickets) but does it really last 6 hours on battery and do they give you a charger, or can you swap it for a 'charged' one when it runs out?

i'm going to the Abu Dhabi GP and was considering a Kangaroo
(i've seen them at Le Mans before, and it's a nice way to stay in touch with things on the other side of the track)

keep us informed as to whether it's worth it

Kangaroo TVs are definitely worth the money.
They don't cost much, they give you great coverage, and you get to keep the great noise-reduction earpieces at the end.

They give access to the TV footage being shown on the big screens (but you can see it clearly,), you can go in-car with most of the teams, and instant access to timings, tables, positions, etc. And you get to hear the commentary.

Purists of the sport might not like it, but I think they really add to the viewing as you actually know what is going on around the circuit.

They give you a charger - so you will need access to a power point in the evening. They also give you two fully charged batteries. If you don't have access to a power point then I'm sure they will swap batteries for you. One battery will easily last the day (enough for all F1 stuff and bits, maybe all, of the other races in my experience).

Yes I definitely agree it is worth having, I have had it twice at Silverstone and would thoroughly recommned it.

If I am able to go this year I will definitely be renting one again.

brilliant - got given one from a sponsor a few years back - though brought it with me to monaco this weekend and doesn't seem to be working - perhaps they change the channels - might have to pop down to them and get a replacement !

Just posted elswhere, haven't had one before, but if I was going this year would have one (between 2 at most 3 )

That's true

I found it really useful for the BBC commentary and stats which were available rather than watching the video or following a specific driver.
