spec on the new car will be similar ls1 over 500 horses

That is indeed an awesome project both past and present. I automatically thought you would be useing the M5 e39 or possibly the new M3 V8 mill, didn't even consider the LS series of engines. This swap is more common in the States ( obviously ) and I have yet to even see one over here.Good on you man , what is your intended use for the finished article?

heads cam inlet fast 90mm throttle body uped the compression and engine management oh and nice exhaust

I have a 434ci SBC built by Knight Racing that makes 650bhp so I do appreciate what goes into a motor like that although I will be using the M62 4.4ltr BMW motor in my M3 mainly because I already have it but I must say that although I like the 434 there is also something about a high revving small capacity V8 that makes my mind water.
