For the pads, try Superstar components. They make their own brand of pads, which possibly don't last as long as OEM ones, but are much cheaper, especialy if you buy 4 pairs at once.

As said, for tyres, try wiggle, chainreaction, merlincycles, etc. Have a flick through the mountain biking magazines' ads. There are a few good online stores out there. (But also a few bad ones - if you've not heard of them, google them for reviews first!)

Chain Reaction are doing Clarks pads for £8 per set at the moment - cheaper than OEM, only a little more than SAuperstar, and they have the added advantage of not falling apart ofter ten minutes.

Not found a page on here for recommending suppliers, but last Friday lunchtime I ordered a set of V8 clone pedals from Chain Reactions, which were priced including postage, and they were with my the next morning. Am well impressed with that level of service, and intend to order more from them.

I bought a set of Clarks pads last year and they are lasting very well, seem just as good as the OE pads. Think I bought them from All Terrain Cycles, £5.68 a pair.

That's a little harsh. Superstar pads work well for me.

Yep, I have with everything I have had. I have had stuff from both CRC and Wiggle and both were very good with regards to delivery and general service. Merlin Cycles might be worth a look too?

Supoerstar pads have been great for me too! - bought them on the offchance, expecting them to fall apart, and having to revert back to Genuine XTR pads... - but in all honesty they have been spot on!

Not sure they include Haribo with EVERY order, I have had it once before though!

In general the service offered by CRC, Wiggle, Merlin and ATB is all excellent. If you order in the morning, chances are you will have it the next day even if you don't pay extra for the next day delivery.

I think that happened to a batch 3 years ago where the glue didn't stick the pad to the backing plate , I have Superstar sintered fitted to 4 bikes since summer 09 including 2 DH bikes used almost every weekend.

A2Z pads from Woolly Hat Shop on eBay good to - (£18ish for four pairs)

Superstar Components are good too - and they do include Haribo with each order.

Can't fault SuperStar for brake pads either. Anyone tried the Kevlar Compound ones?
