Just waved goodbye to my Cerb as it takes its first AA journey.

No gears this morning so new clutch required, thankfully I have the AA repair warranty so should be covered.

Bloody great start to the bank holiday mad

I am wondering how many garages fit new clutches (or say they fitted a new clutch) when all that is required is the clutch needs bleeding!!!!!!

I would only take mine to a TVR specialist for that type of work, and I dont think any of them would do such a thing as it takes years to build a good reputation and only 1 thing like that to ruin it

Sorry to hear about your Cerb Tom, hope it's an easy fix.

I've spent the whole weekend wrestling with my overheating problem (the car's AND mine) but it's still not right. I'm off to revive my old thread now...

Hi Andrew,

Should be an easy fix as it seems like a new clutch is required, will find out for definite today as the AA dropped the car at Automedon yesterday.

Hope you get to the bottom of your overheating problem.

Hi Kostas,

I am at the same stage as yourself as the guys at Automedon have still to diagnose the fault and contact the AA before they give an answer, I shall keep you updated though

I thought there was some sort of age limit on the AA warranty? Like its only available on cars upto ten years old or something? My RAC cover has expired now and this may tip the balance for me to go whith the AA if you guys are getting things like clutches (non friction plates granted) replaced. Is it a set £25 fee per claim?

You pay the first £25 of any claim and the AA pay the next £475, if your bill is over the £500 you pay the rest, I think you are allowed 4 or 5 claims per year.
