I need a new headset as mine is shot and I'm just going to get one of the CB ones as they seem to come out ok so long as they're fitted properly.

Only thing is they're cheapest from JensonUSA but I'm worried about being stung with taxes.

Who's ordered from them and who's been caught out?

Chris King?

If youre spending that much you will probably want to get it fitted properly. Costing probably £20, add that to your shipping, tax and then suddenly it doesnt look as cheap.

Most good bike shops will fit it for free, just haggle with them.

I've ordered clothing before and luckily never got charged tax or VAT and that was when the £ was much stronger

Nope....Crank Brothers...Chris King would be CK wink

I can't afford those anyway!!

Plus bike shops here in Vienna are extort money ridiculously for components. I paid just shy of €200 to get two chain rings replaced, a new chain and the labour in involved. That was considered a good price here... rolleyes

Maybe not then! I had no idea they made headsets

As i said, it's a lottery if you get charged or not.

www.aspirevelotech.com is the cheapest I've found for Chris King. You might find it within budget? Proper fit and forget part. Worth the extra notes.

Great bunch of guys there too.

Hmmm.....may get a Chris King from the US. I've just found out a friend of mine is travelling over there to see his family so may get him to bring it back... biggrin

No idea if it's possible, but worth a shot. He's already bringing back a massive (EF 70-200mm f/2.8L), camera lens for me! hehe

Changed my mind once again....I ended up ordering a Crank Brothers Opium C DH for just $45. Considering it's over £60 from CRC, I reckon that's a good deal, plus it also looks a bit "bling" smile

I just have to wait until the middle of June and hope my current headset holds up until then!
