It will be serviced before I take delivery and any issues sorted, it drives well and looks in good shape, however mileage is high (which is fine as long as it has been looked after) but the service history does seem to have gaps?

Can anybody clarify if this looks the case or is it fine?

Thanks

Service history looks fine, and I'd say that 33,000 miles for an 11 year old car isnt high smile

Thank you, agree on mileage, how many clutches would a 355 F1 get through in this time?

The 4 years gap would not bother me. All said and done its a glorified oil & filter change then you get a stamp in your little book;). And it only did 3,000 miles in that time. Besides if you are one of those potential ferrari owners who jumps onto the "anal, evey stamp must be there" bandwagon. Then it would not take much to contact the owner during that time from the invoices. You never know it might have been in the care of the mentioned "Simon", who owns the business selling the car. He may have had the car serviced at his own specialist business and not botherd or forgot to have the book stamped;) I remember about 5 years back when Karl Verdi was selling a 308 GT4 that was personally owned by him. During his ownership he never had the service book stamped...the guys one of the foremost Ferrari experts in the UK.
Besides i don't just buy a Ferrari using the service history alone. I also like to have a pile of reassuring bills/invoices. Also buy on the condition of the car as well as have an independent PPI done before buying.
The car looks great to me.

355's need annual service/oil change - if there's no evidence of this then I'd walk. IMO it's too expensive. And F1 on the 355 is really crap.

Don't take take this personally but how can a 'specialist' say the service history looks fine when it's missed 3 annual services. I agree that the mileage declared in those 4 yrs is very low but oil needs changing every year. It did 10k in 2 yrs (missed a service) and then 3k in 4yrs (missed 3 services) - I'd be questioning the mileage change/use. Check MOT's.

I doubt whether a PDI check would pick up missed services as an issue but there is potential impact on the longevity of the engine.

The missing history will be a nightmare on resale.
