It is a type 9 box from something like a 2.8 Capri 5 spd. The input shaft is longer on the V6 version of the type 9 box than the 4 cyl type boxes. Also the bell housing has the upper bolt holes in a different place to a 4 cyl bell housing.

I think I was told on here that it's the older 'type 9' box off the 2.8 capri etc. Ford changed their 2.9 cars to the MT75 box but TVR kept the type 9 on the S because of the lower ratios and I understand that they also fitted the 2.8 capri flywheel and clutch.

Make sure you get the right one Tony as I believe the S has a modified gearstick arrangement to the original with a sort of dog leg to make it sit in the right place - If you want a quick shift talk to Adrian Venn at exactly TVR as I remember him selling some a while ago.
