Tom Tom 1 IQ - Is this normal???
Discussion
Having had enough of my Garmin Nuvi300 not being able to track satellites and deciding when and if it wanted to give me directions, I opted for a brand new Tom Tom 1 IQ with built in western euro maps etc. Got it out of the box and it immediately jumped into action - knew exactly where I was and tracked 7 satellites from the word go.
But ever since that inital burst of enthusiasm its not managed to switch on once and instantly track satellites - is this what I should expect..? Should I have to set off in the wrong direction only for it to kick into action 5 minutes into the journey.
Is there actually a reliable, instant system available that I know is going to do what its been designed for every time its turned on, without leaving me stranded whilst it decides if it wants to play at sat navving today!?

My TT Go 920 always finds itself very quickly. Some TT's have a system for downloading details of where they expect the satellites to be called Quick GPS Fix - mine has this, don't know whether yours does. If it does, then it will be worth updating regularly via TT Home - and you will this feature listed each time you connect as one of the downloads.
