After Button nothching up another win and Turkey being a high downforce track for the Brawn car coming in 1st and 2nd. Who will finish 3rd this year, Vettel has recently disapointed in a quick car, Ferrari & Mclaren look as if they are upto pace with front runners but not Brawn quick. Who will finish 3rd behind Jenson and Ruebens?

Kimi probably. He seems to be able to drive again.

I would wager that Monaco has a greater degree of 'Driver bias' in the results compared to other tracks and later tracks will require a top aero package for the high speed corners.

I'm guessing that Vettel and the Redbull will come back alive on the more normal tracks.

Ferrari and McLaren probably won't have warp drives this season.

It will probably be Vettel on the lowest step. I'm unsure about his consistency though. The kid is almighty fast, but he has a tendency to go out with a bang. He's shown his ability to improve his performance during the progress of a season, so as long as he keeps learning and doesn't grow a big head, he should be able to keep on form (or even get lucky and snatch second).

If not Vettel, then Webber is nicely placed to snatch it.

Is it right to assume that Barrichello will finish 2nd, rather than a bit lower down?

I cant think of anyone that can get second with the Brawns supremecy - Istanbul and Silverstone if dry will be a cake walk for them.

I am sorry but Vettel in a quick car has not impressed me and he will be looking over his shoulder at Webber and the Ferrari/Mclarens taking podium points from him. I stated earlier this season that the RedBulls and Toyotas would need to get the big points early as the other bigger teams would eventually catch up with them. Toyota,Renault and Vettel have had there day IMO.

My thoughts exactly. I voted Massa, but if Ferrari continue their improvement, and if Red Bull's diffuser clicks in, will Brawn look to back their best placed driver?

Massa?? With a 26 point defecit over a Brawn powered Rubeans? Not a chance on earth. Kimi has always been the better of the two Ferrari drivers.

i think webber might pull a 3rd place out of the bag. despite his valiant efforts at the weekend, i still dont think kimi has the car to challenge. as for the previous comment about him being able to drive again...id agree, but with the exception of his abysmal getaway off the line!!

Silverstone has always been a power circuit though, usually favours Ferrari. Also Monza is a power circuit that seems to suit them. So if dry i think Ferrari could still be on for the wins there.

But staying towards your thread purpose i would say most likely Kimi or Massa.

But Massa usually goes incredibly well in Turkey. I won't be surprised if he can win again. His gap to the rest at this track could conceivably be enough to beat the Brawns. Which immediately starts his fightback.

And a couple of DNFs is easy to rack up - one mistake, one bad Qually 1, one mechanical issue... nil point. It's early yet to say the Brawns are uncatchable.

Massa does like Turkey but that was with the old aero rules. This year might be different for him. Turkey reminds me of Shanghai so for me the Toyotas and Red Bulls will be up the sharp end again with the Brawns.

Istanbul and Silverstone will not be a cake walk for Brawn.

The Red Bulls were very good in Spain, a high speed circuit and Turkey/GB fall into the same category.

I expect them to do very well there (providing they haven't corrupted a good car by fitting a hastily-developed double diffuser)

Brawn will do well in Hungary and Germany - tighter circuits.

Would be nice for Jenson to win in GB but I think that will be a Red Bull or Ferrari...

As for 3rd, I still think Vettel. Good car, good speed - if they can sort out their strategy decisions he'll do OK.

3rd in what, Turkey or the Championship?

If the Championship, it'll be Button - behind Barrichello and one of the Ferraris.

What could possibly make you think that Ferrari wont have the same issues you have commented on Brawn "maybe" having? Ferrari out of all the teams are more likely to have reliability issues, drivers missing QA's and cars running out of fuel or getting hoses stuck in them. No Ferrari will catch Rubeans - 3rd is there best shot.

As for using last seasons performance as a guide? Have you been watching F1 this year? The re-design of the cars means that last years performances are wiped clean - Pointless even commenting on them.

The top redbull has only out-performed the top Brawn once in 5 races. Forget 1st and 2nd - Its over, concentrate on 3rd place. The Brawn is good at every style of track, no other car has proved this.
