Unfortunatley i will be joining the great unwashed as off friday .
My question is i will be having my taken holiday pay deducted from my redundancy pay ,
is this allowed ?
I can appreciate the fact that if i where to hand in my notice i would be obliged to pay it back but seeing as i am not making the choice to leave is this allowed.

Holiday pay is earned as you work, so therefore if you have taken more holiday than you have earned at the point you leave the company, wether leaving is your choice or not, then the company is allowed to deduct this from your final wages.

I appreciate this isn't what you want to hear, but they aren't doing anything illegal as far as I can see.

As for being part of the great unwashed, look on the bright side....Its summer!! time to chill smile
