hi everyone thought i had better say hi after reading articals on this forum for a while now ! which helped me decide to build a ultima so saturday made the trip from essex to to the factory to be shown around and taken for a ride in there silver demonstrator. What can i say but wow !! what a car and after spending a hour or so with Ted answering all my questions i decided to place my order ! Am now waiting patiently for the 12 weeks to come around !
Hi Graham have gone for a GTR with full cage and double panel kit will also be purchasing AP,s and am going to have the body in white.could you give me some ideas on where to get some wheels from as noticed a few of you guy,s have different from standard? I am not sure about engine spec yet but twin turbo has been thought about.
I think that the best option for you would be an LS7 normally aspirated motor like I ordered from American Speed. My car puts out 730 bhp, although you can have the ls7 engine configured from 550 bhp and up I think that fuel injection is the way to go. I would however caution you about the kind of power that this motor will create. As you saw with your ride with Ted, the 550 bhp silver car is fast as lightning, so how much car can you handle? I suggest that you get the rose joint suspension upgrade as well.

i was only concidering it but was looking at about 600 bhp with stand alone management such as life systems as have used this before and could incorparate map switching and closed loop lambda control to suit conditions. hopefully could build a nice unstressed engine but just ideas at this stage. thanks for the help im going to be needing lots i imagine.

I would check out stigs and graham p website with ref to the build they are a very good insight as to what you are letting yourself infore and a wealth of knowlege. I have a completed car ( custom BLING ) that I am in the process of renovating ( putting back to how an Ultima should be ) and have found these sites very helpful.
