Steering wheel / airbag question

As you might have noticed by my car-cover thread, I purchased a Mk2 on Sunday, and would like to change the steering wheel for my old Momo Race one.

How can I do this without having the airbag light on constantly?

Do I simply short the connector with a paperclip or somthing, so that the ecu still "sees" the airbag as being hooked up?

Do a quick search you need a resistor and usually a different boss to fit the old wiring in.

And don't do it yourself unless you really know what you are doing. It's not unknown for airbags to go off while being removed...
