All too predictable, sadly.

Why did Craig get dismissed, from the program I assumed it was his zoo, not his Mum's?

The only conclusion I can come to is that in an attempt to get it off him they shot it in the head.

Apparently caught his missus in bed with another couple and assualted her.

+1 on putting the Tiger down, shameful, if Craig had been there i doubt it would have happened.

Sad. But I guess there isn't a lot of choice; once they've killed, they'll do it again. You wouldn't have a long list of job applicants for the new 'keeper' post... frown

Is it though? Beats getting run over or having a heart attack. Just think of the epitaph.

Not true. Animals normally only kill for food, and we aren't food to them. If we were there wouldn't be any in zoos; we'd probably just exterminate them as we have other predators e.g. UK wolves.

But, they learn (that we're quite soft, really). So, for the zoo to continue, this one had to go.

The Keeper and the Tiger should not have been in the enclosure at the same time for it to have happened.

Stupid humans once again trying to cross certain boundaries they know they shouldn't, we're just to tasty for a big cat FFS.

It's quite common for the Lions to be shot in the African parks when then start attacking humans. Apparently we are not normally seen as prey (hence they don't start draggin you out of the landrovers etc), but if they try it once, that's it.

Exactly, tempt them and it'll happen. To protect the keepers from being attacked and the cats from being shot for attacking you'd have thought they would have procedures in place to keep them apart.
