Okay...My garage 'entry is 85 inches. Its on an upward slope with a wall either side so it is hard to manouver the car to be too close to one wall.

Once I am in I have 100 inches wall to wall but given the drive in the car ends up pretty much centre and in my CSL I have approx 16 inches each side from door to get out.

Could a 355 owner please let me know if I will be able to get out or forced to live in the car if I buy it?

Thanks!

You could get the Spyder and step out of it without opening the door... Problem solved?

I had a similar dilemma. My garage door is 7 foot wide but the garage is 12 feet wide once in. I am also on a slope but have space to manoeuvre about before setting the car up to go straight in. The clutch will take a bit of a bashing, and so may the underside of the nose, that's why I now have my car in storage with no access problems smile. My daily smoker 911 doesn't have such a problem.

i have a similar problem - i have a new build with the worlds smallest garage. the drivers mirrors needs folding in to get through the door frame and I can only open the door about an inch once parked up. I have to get out of the window (using my new carbon sills for entry and exit).

it's annoying but you get better at it over time! not as annoying as bird-sh!t all over the car though.

How do 355's cope with speed bumps also out of interest?

If legal humps you should get over without touching but if in doubt go over at an angle the nose is long and fairly low.
Get Hills skid plates fitted.

Badly. If there's a road of speed bumps I get caught down I end up with either a long tail back of traffic but i'm in the middle of the road trying to get the middle of 2 hunps, or if they are large ones across the road i often turn around and find another way...you will get scrapes on the bottom of the car I expect.

Also, petrol stations can be a hassle...and yes regular size parking won't do.

You should be fine with your garage sizes. My garage is 82" at entry and 102" overall and my 355 fits in with about 1" or 2" spare either side with the wing mirrors out. Once parked it is a bit of a squeeze opening the doors and clambering out but as other posters have said carpet on the walls (or in my case foam pipe insulation!) is a must. It is also much easier to get out with the window down and then reach in to put them back up afterwards.

I also screwed down some blocks on the floor at the back of the garage which really helps reversing up to!

BTW, as a fellow CSL owner, just like to say what great taste in cars you have wink !
