Out of curiousity - what's the popup screen for? It looks like a picture of driver and steering wheel?

He also added that officers would be looking at the content of the conversations that people were having, as different calls could be more engrossing.
Errr, WHAT? And how exactly are they going to be doing this? Are we now in a Police State where they can monitor all phone calls without a warrant, or is this in fact just bollocks?

Another bandwagon for the police and all these militant safety groups (who think ALL motorists are criminals) to jump on. Meanwhile real crime will probably increase even more, especially in Wales... The new criminals are the mobile, Mobile phone user and speeding motorists. Seems the Govt are letting all the terrorists and paedophiles out of jail to make room for us naughty motorists. It's all so
depressing!
depressing! This is getting all out of proportion now on the news etc.
Lets not take the p*ss or be rude here but how can they say that 75% of people dont understand that they cant hold a mobile up to their heads whilst driving.
At least credit people with the common sense that they were born with!!!!

Having said that, some of the more numpty motorists seem to be quite blatantly lacking in common sense, so I dunno.

I have just been told that on the A55 in North Wales there are notices in Welsh which say "Paid y phoniau".
If this is correct it would translate roughly as "Don't phone" but a non-Welsh speaker (me) might think it means 'have you paid your phone bill'. The Welsh word 'paid'(don't) is pronounced 'pied' and not, as seems obvious, 'paid'.
Wonder why they don't'put up notices in Caernarvon which say " Don't riot in the streets, don't mug pensioners, don't vandalise cars and property" etc.
All round England they just say "Think! Don't phone while driving". To think we paid for these signs to warn us of impending traffic conditions, and they're just being used to brainwash us instead. It's worse than "don't drive tired" (whatever that's meant to mean -- "tired vehicles"?)

Because there's no money in it ...
Because BrainlessStrum likes violence and drugs. These are small offences compared to 31 in a 30!
