Gîtes in France

Can anyone recommend any Gîte accommodation in France? That might have vacancies for a week from the 1st August?
We've left it a bit late to get stuff organised this year and are having a bit of nightmare finding somewhere!

First week over there is south of Tours, so obviously not looking for somewhere in the Pyrenees or Monaco!!

August is the month the French all go on holiday!

Depends how fussy you are with location, but we booked for the first 2 weeks in Aug, through this site and had a few to choose from, although I admit most are gone. Good site though
