Recently whilst on patrol on the A406 i was driving an unmarked car when my attention was drawn to a car travelling at about 60mph in a 40 limit.
As we approached a speed camera, this vehicle did not slow down at all and went through at the excess speed.

We stopped it a short time later and found that he was a Provisional Licence holder (not supervised, no L plates), No Ins and to top it all he was wanted for Deception.

Just makes you think that sometimes, the speed cameras are worthless tat.

Agreed. But why didn't you pull the prat over before he reached the speed camera or did you want to let the prat get caught by camera then do him another 500 yeards down the road.

He came to our attention because he wasnt slowing down.
Its a popular and rewarding practice to stop people who dont slow down because 99.9% of the time the vehicle is not registered to them and they have other offences in the offing.

As an aside, i like to give people a bit of rope......often they hang themselves and i dont pay for the petrol.

Tony thats a good idea of stopping the ones that don't slow down, anything that catches the uninsured scum bags.
