When I was active in the TVRCC (and a multiple Classic TVR owner), I collected an large amoun of TVR Brochures, Magazine Articles, and General bumff about TVR, especially about cars from the period 1960-1980 (most carefully removed from the original donor magazines and inserted into plastic wallets. I have about two A4 Ringbinders full of stuff, plus a selection of oversize material. Some of these articles are from long out of print magazines (Hot Car, AutoPhyle, etc). Whats the best way of getting rid of these, in the old days I would have listed them on eBay, but that is a very time consuming process, and I don't want to really go through them all and create a list. I'd also rather that they went to an enthusiast for a nominal sum.

Suggestions welcome

We have started a project about TreVoRs dream of the common person being able to afford and own a true handbuilt British sportscar. This project is mainly covering the cars that were imported into North America. I agree with "thegamekeeper" that a donation to TVRCC for their archives would be a smart way to go for future generations to be able to access. With TVRCC's help we will be able to finish our project and allow others to discover information that could have been lost forever. You will have to decide on your own which is more important to you at this time. Money in your pocket or info in other peoples lives...

Thanks for the responses, as Im sure gamekeeper knows, for many years I was the TVRCC Archivist and was responsible for adding cnsiderably in size the amount of material in the archive (quite a bit of which I donated). I certainly don't feel that the TVRCC owes me anything (apart from the fact that I met my wife through the club!) as I put a lot of time and effort into the club during my 12 years as a member. I'm also not after a fortune for the material (though it cost me quite a bit to assemble it) and would really be after something nominal and to cover the shipping fees (which I would estimate being £15 within the UK)

David,

Please drop me an email. I'll be quite happy to pay the cost of post and whatever you consider to reasonable.

Cheers

What is a nominal ammount David. I could buy it and donate anything I have already to the club. That way you would benefit ,a genuine Classic TVR enthusiast would benefit and the TVRCC would benefit.
I agree the club owes you nothing nor you it but its a question of this old material finding its rightful place.
