Hi

If you had to spend £15k on a estate car, will you get more for your money by buying an A6 or an Allroad?
The spec would be 3ltr tdi, leather, with as much toys as possible.

How do they compare driving wise?
And economy? is the A6 drink a lot less then the Allroad?

Thank you for some feed back

Cheers

Jack

I couldn't find an Allroad (latest shape) for £15k when looking recently.

I bought a 2.7 Q S Line and it seems to have most of what I would have got with an Allroad. Allroads seem to hold good prices, assuming they are selling for them.

I've got a 60,000 mile 3.0 Allroad fro 21 and as far as I'm aware it's the cheapest out there.

a 15k A6 will probably be an 05 with 60-80k miles dependent on model and spec.

A 15k Allroad has either been to the moon or there's something amiss.

I assume you're talking about the "new" model. There are plenty of clean, average mileage 2.5TDI's "old shapes" out there with all the LTD Edition toys.

the allroad has air suspension,
a 2001 cost me a small fortune, front bag, comp pump,
suspention cu,,£2,000
would,nt go near one unless theve improved,
v6 tdi sounds like a tractor at low revs, and thirsty.

a6 4.2 quattro, what can you say,,well,
good luck.

If its any help my 3.0 A6 TDI averages 35mpg and 42mpg on a motorway run, and handles better than an allroad.

A mate had an Allroad and had problems with transmission whine, ended up as a warranty claim, but recurred. He was told this is common with the allroad. I am not sure if the allroad has different transmission from a normal A6 Quattro, but my A6 doesnt have transmission whine and nor did the others I drove
