My Range Rover LSE sufferes from a bit of a wind problem, in that when you get over 60-70ish, there's a strong draft and a fair bit of noise from around the sunroof area. It gets so bad sometimes that you can feel the whole roof flex, and the draft causes the headlining to come adrift from behind the sunroof. Also if it's raining, water starts dripping down from the top of the windscreen near the sun visors and rear view mirror mount.

I've taped up the top of the windscreen and also the sunroof seal, and while it helps a bit, it hasn't cured the problem, so it seems that air is getting in between the headlining and roof somewhere.

Any ideas?

Check that the seal is still in place around the roof lip. The roof on a classic is screwed on. Also open the doors, and at the top of the door shut you will find plastic grommets.Pull the plastic grommets out and check the screws for tightness.

Also check the felt seal around the sunroof. Over time these get brittle. It would also pay to make sure the back of the sunroof actually flips up and closes properly.

Thanks - will take a look. The sunroof seal isn't perfect, but isn't the cause of the problem as I've covered it up with tank tape as a test.

What should I look out for with the roof lip seal? I'm assuming this is above the windscreen, so from the way the water leaks in, I'm thinking this could be the most likely culprit - are they easy to replace?

Its a felt seal. The only way to replace is removal of the roof. Not to bad if you can employ the help of another pair of hands. Dont forget to run a small bead of sealant around the whole lot before re-fitting.
