I'm looking to get the swilrs and orange peel taken out of my race car. There are some stone chips but I'm not too fussed about them... just want to make it easier to clean in the future.
Obviously the interior doenst need much cleaning or treating.. unless you want to polish the inside as well.?

I'm in coventry and the car spends a lot of time at the workshop in north birmingahm. However the workshop are very fussy about alowing silicone based products inside.... something to do with the laquers they sometimes use not likeing it???

anyway the car in question is the 968 which is on my profile.

They'll want to know if any silcone products are to be used due to contamination. Basically Silcone can get everywhere and it stops the paint sticking to the surface which you are painting. Have had similar questions before being allowed to detail a car at a body shop. Just let them know the products to be used and supply them with a data sheet before hand. That will keep them happy and you'll be able to get the job done thumbup

Re the orange peel removal, this will depend on if it is in the colour layer or clear coat (lacquer) if a 2 stage paint. if in the clear coat or if single stage paint (colour only) it can be wet sanded and polished out.
