Short Term Car Insurance

Hi all.

For the upcoming trip to Le Mans I need to get short term car insurance on our shed.
Needs 2 be for 2 people age 23, and obviously european cover. Car is 16 years old, and I'm having real trouble finding a decent quote. So far the best I've found is £303 for 21 days - last year we got it for £143, but the car is clased as too old by that company now unfortunately.

Does anyone have any reccomendations?

Refused on all of those; either we are too young, or the car is too old.

Can you not take out a standard insurance policy, and cancel it upon your return?
