Hi guys my heater box packed up on me earlier in the year and up to now i have just put up without a heater.Im trying to get my car up to order and as the warm weather is here i dont want to end up melting away in my car.What noble are asking for a heater box is taking the **** .Has anyone out there got a spare that is in working order that they wood like to sell.Let us know

i tried the mk5 escort blower/motor part as a replacement as described on the forum gave part to my mechanic but he tells me it is to big for the heater box.I feel that trying this is my last option

Have you checked whether it's just the wire-wound resistors? They are easily replaceable.

Mine went wonky a couple of months ago, had power etc etc but there is a small spring which pulls the brushes down on to the armature, mine had corroded and the end of the spring fallen off so no pressure on the brush.
Cost me absolutely nothing to repair barring some scrapped knuckles

Mk 5 escort does fit - i have personally done this you do have to chop the box in the right place and chop off some of the escort lugs to make it fit but it does go in. You would never know the difference when the job is done apart from the heater will work from now on !
