Best route to take from Cherbourg to LM

You can go the motorway route, past Bayeux towards Caen then south from there, but it's quite boring.
We're going to go further east accross to Bernay, then go down the old N138 (now called D438).
Great road, lovely villages a few bars & cafes along the way, just the way it should be.
Should be quite a few PH'rs doing this so you should have a blast!

I concur. Don't take thenCherbourg-Caen road beacuse there are roadworks.I'd take St. Lo and then Mayenne and have fun on the way and abeer at a bar somewhere. ) - Le MansGassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
