Steering rack RHD - LHD

Was the same non powered steering rack used in any other car like the one in a '88 on Esprit?
I've just bought a RHD, and want to change it into a LHD. Has anybody experience with this kind of job?
I am starting to take the car apart on Saturday.

You will have to weld on new mounting tabs to hold the steering box on to the frame. I have seen pictures of a frame that had that modification done.
