Ok - not that I'm made up my mind about a TVR or anything but....

It seems Racing Green are just down the road from me- I'm sure they're lovely people - and hello from me if anyone from there is reading this, but opinions on these most welcome:

- buying from a (this!) dealer (would never usually consider a dealer, but this is a TVR..)
- value of warranty offered by Racing Green... sounds like a great idea!

obviously I should just get my arse down there...

cheers

I got my Sag from Racing green about 18 months ago and used their warranty to claim on a new clutch (paid about 80% due to the nature of the failure)

I beleive most warranties will cover fails apart from any engine related parts, things such as suspension, clutch, ECU, etc..

Btw.. this was through AutoProtect I beleive RG have changed warranty company lately..

I had a Chim from them about 18 months ago, had a couple of bits and pieces that were done to it under warrenty.

No issues at all, all sorted and fixed, no paperwork, nothing.

Great bunch of chaps down there, with Martin looking after servicing, and I'd stick with Chad for sales...

Ditto above, my clutch fitted in Dec, failed last month. Replaced no questions from Martin and the team smile

tusca_al how did it fail. I had one fitted by them, it was noisy and they put another one in but it still seems abit wrong. It went to Straight8six for a service and they said it was a bit strange but probably just needed bedding in.

They informed me part of the clutch had broke off, and damaged the bell housing and slave. it was very hard to engage 1st 2nd and reverse when I took it in, and had lost some fluid. Seems there was a manufacturing fault with the AP clutch. New one is a lot better, although the last one went after 4k so not saying anything until then!

If they've stopped using Autoprotect you'll probably be ok!
