Article in today's Sun (sorry) sums up Britain nicely in two points.

Firstly, our Prime Minister concentrating on the really important issues of the day:

The Sun said:
And Prime Minister Gordon Brown has lent the drained star his support, revealing to GMTV this morning that he phoned Simon Cowell last night to check on her condition. He said: "I hope Susan Boyle is OK because she is a really, really nice person and I think she will do well. "I spoke to Simon Cowell last night and to Piers Morgan and wanted to be sure that she was OK."
Secondly, a fine use of grammar and butcher's apostrophes rolleyes

And Big Brother rolls back on to TV later this week. That'll give Brown something else to concentrate on!

I think that photo sums up Britain far more eloquently than anything Gordon Broon can say.

Boyle is a mong. If 5 minutes of fame send her this doolally then she should be removed from society...

As for Winky then it’s a good job Big Brother starts on Friday or he may be on the verge of a constitutional crisis.

You git, until 10 seconds ago I had no idea it was on again, I'd managed to insulate myself from any of the hype or buildup.

Now I'm aware of it's existence I'll be hearing about it non stop!

If only I'd have managed to retain my ignorance it might have slipped by completely.

I'm sure it would have been raised at PMQs at some point.

Agreed. It's sad.

Incidentally, I was reading last week that GB and Jacqui Smith (I think it was) had met up with readers of Company magazine to discuss "pressing issues". Queries from the ladies regarding matters such as free taxis for girls who go out clubbing at night. I found myself wondering why on earth something like this would be scheduled for the PM while the country is in freefall. And then I wondered why these women think taxpayers should pay for their jollies.

It's a funny old world, innit.

The worst thing about that statement is it's almost certainly true. frown

I predict one of the cocksocket house mates will say something slightly controversial that offends some over sensitive minority and we'll see a statement from half a dozen MPs about it.
