Finally brought myself to put my S3 for sale on Saturday evening. Within 3 hours I'd had the first phone call and 24 hours later the new owner had driven off with the car. Really gutted to see it go - it's been my favourite car (and I've owned a few) and unsurpassed for fun factor on a sunny B-road, but I need something more track focused and I don't have the space for both. frown

Sure I'll be back at some point, but it's goodbye for now. Happy TVRing.

I know how you feel Chris, I'm thinking about putting mine up for sale but I keep putting it off. How did you sell it through a mag?

cheers,
Guy

Nope. I put it on the PH classifieds. Two hours later the new owner phoned up to arrnage a test drive for the following morning. He turned up with cash and drove it away on the spot. In hindseight it may have been a little under priced - it was basically mint but a former cat D, hence £4,995. I recieved another couple of enquiries off Car & Classic in the course of about 48 hours before I got round to deleting the ad.

Depends what you want it for. I'm honestly gutted about selling it. Can't imagine a better car for sunny Sunday afternoon at that sort of price, but it's not a track toy really and that's what I'm looking for.

Happy motoring, what have you got a track day car yet?

Nothing yet - I needed the garage space before I was ready to move. The candidates are a Caterham, some other '7 kit, an Elise or a stripped MX5 if I'm feeling stinjy.

Hopefully by the time I've bought a new toy I'll stop questioning my decision to sell the Tiv. Hopefully.

You'll get over it! Just promise to return one day wink

I would like a track weapon too, it's just finding the money (my S is staying put now - in more ways than one lol) rolleyes

BTW A VX220 is something I have always had a liking for, get one of them and tell me how good it is

Mx5s go well when supercharged. I don't think you'll stop questioning the idea of selling the tiv until you buy your next one smile
