If you think i'm posting anything exotic look away now biggrin

Anyway last weekend i was driving up the M40 in my 12 year old Mondeo 2.0 litre zetec when i lost all power, originally thought it was the cambelt, after eventually getting home on the tow truck the next day i took off the cambelt cover but everything was ok even when turning over, i took the oil cap off the cam cover and that was turning over. What concerns me when i pulled out the spark plug caps inside it was covered in oil - has anyone any idea what this could be and is a cheap job to fix?

If not then i may scrap it as the car is worth (when running) 500 quid tops plus the mot is due next month which i know will be at least 100-200 quid, so for the sake of spending 500 quid just to get it running i might as well scrap it and put it towards a car.

Thanks for your help chaps.

Cheers

oil under the spark plug caps could just be a leaking rocker cover gasket?

Check if you are getting spark, then check if you are getting fuel.
