noisey 996 turbo

please help! i recently purchased a new 996 turbo and when driven gently in 5th and 6th gear at around 1200-1600rpm a rattling noise is generated by the front differential. Porsche changed the front diff and the noise is still there!Now there telling me the noise is normal on all 996 turbos built in the last 6 months and due to a change in spec.Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know if what there telling me is true or crap.
