I was hoping for some kind guidance out there from other like minded petrol heads. Being 6'4" (but thinish) I would really appriciate some suggestions on what would suit me best in the 7 kit car stable. A wide bodied Westfield, a Robin Hood (definitely got a soft spot for those little chaps.) I am looking for a type that I can fit into rather than look like I am driving a kiddy car.

All help and guidance a great help

You will definitely fit in a wide westy,if it has the lowered floor option it will be even better.(they can be retrofitted).

If you are looking for a BEC then they do not have the lowered floor available for them, much lower ride height than a standard SEIW.

Best bet is to go to your local meet and try a few cars out http://www.wscc.co.uk/local.htmsmile

My son is 6' 4" and drives my Fury (faster than me too this season) and used to drive my Striker. The only issue he has/had is between knees and steering wheel, raising the wheel very slightly solves that problem.

I'm 6'5" and had a westy. I had the steering column raised slightly though as it was tight on my knees on the standard car. I have got very long legs though.

Thanks all for your responses - very helpful, especially the link to the local kit car club. The more I learn I dare say the more questions will be asked.

i am pushing six foot 5 and manage to squeeze into an MK indy.

I have fibreglass seats which are very thin and they are mounted directly to the floor so its at max room.

i could still do with a high steering column (one day I will get higher tabs welded)
