Car prep for track

Hopefully all the teething problems are now over and I can start to use the car as planned for some track days. I had originally planned to start in May but a few probs delayed this, so now booked up for Donington in 3 weeks time. Still time for things to go wrong.... but hopefully not.

Thanks to Dave and Kyle for all the help sorting the problems. Clearly I'm a mechanical retard and it's good to have some guys I can rely on to help out.

PS - there'll be no videos until I've done at least 6 of these days - At the moment I'll be more likely to be nicked for kerb crawling than speeding

Awww. Mate, you should video even if it's just to document your improvement. You can then look back in a years time and wonder why you were coasting into bends, late on the power and only using the middle of the track.
Perhaps you could even do a split screen vid of your first outing compared to your 6th and watch in pride as you cross the line tens of seconds faster than your first attempt!!!

Dont't forget, unless you are attending a unrestricted day the noise limit is 98db.

I thought my GTR was quiet but still puts out 103db.

Lucky - Sorry, definitely no video as a) no camera and b) I couldn't bear to see the results of my first go.

DC180 - I'm booked for 22 May in the evening with BAT, are you thinking of coming along?

Martin - Sound shouldn't be a problem - Dave measured my car at 98 db and the static test is 100 db. Since Kyle did his work, I tested the noise at 25 db, my engine's about half the size and it says "Metro" on top!!!

Didn't know that BaT took bookings nearly a year in advance , it is a bit long to wait though don't you think?

Ooops.....I actually started my first lap on 22 May and I'm hoping to finish it on 22 June!
