looking for a lift to le mans :o
Discussion
Hey
, new member here, but been a member of midweek motorsport radio le mans collective, and autosport forums for ages..
I had hoped to get the eurostar to le mans, but didnt order tickets till i got my passport, thats been a big mistake, as tickets are now 225 each way
so im hoping i can hook up with someone or a group and get a lift.. mostly i just need a lift from a ferry to le mans, as i can get the train to the port in the UK quite cheaply, or wherever a kind chap/chappette would like to meet
also need a lift back for the return leg
. im happy to pay a reasonable amount, and if im going, im intending to get a kangaroo tv, and take my camera, so im happy to share them and take pics for people
id prefer if possible, to get there for wednesday practise, but im happy with whatever i can get
luggage wise, im thinking a medium sized backpack and a wheely case thing, if that matters
and my name is paul menard, so u can find me on facebook
. ill be traveling from the swindon area, but can meet anywhere where theres a train station nearby, pretty much

www.corvetteclub.org.uk one of the guys has a passenger seat in his 71 vette up for grabs, looking for a contribution towards the fuel......no obvious jokes please!

You beat me to it Nige! Return fuel from Sheffield to Le Mans and back in the '78 is normally about £100 each but this includes plenty of hooning once in LM aswell. We've a spare seat in our Bambulance if you don't mind sharing with 8 rather mad Scottish guys - All we'd want is a contribution to the fuel fund and a few bottles of some fine beer for the fridge
If you were interested we're getting the ferry on the Wedensday morning, and coming back on the Monday night. Probably easiest picking up in either Dover or Calais but a drop off further north on the way back might be possible.
If you interested, drop me an email.
Cheers,
Tino
