any owners here with S type R

Looking at the prices falling below 10k for S type R. for 80,000 2002/ 2003 model

Apreciate some advice ,

What are they like to drive ?
How reliable , have heard a they have had gearbox issues ?
service costs ?

Took the plunge a couple of months back, have driven the model year you are thinking about, but bought a 55 plate which is slightly different to the model you mention. Go and drive it, they are stunning (depending on what you are moving from) and the fuel economy is not that bad on a long run. Minor services at a Jag main dealer, depending on mileage should be approx. £350 unless you have a good indy local to you.
