Sadly being self-employed and needing emails means I could do with having access to Internet while at LM.

Apparently you can buy a "Mobicarte" which is a Orange France PAYG SIM; then put it onto the "Internet Max" package for about €12/month. With a laptop and dongle, unlimited Internet. So, anyone know if I can just pop into a shop in Calais/Le Mans and buy one of these cards, or does it need to be posted to a French address?

Or, is there anywhere with wifi near Houx.. sad I know but the trials and tribulations of running a small business driving

Only WiFi that seems to get mentioned is the McDonalds on the Mulsanne, though mainly because it's free.

There may be some form of paid public WiFi but most of the access points are closed-off ones used by the teams/race officials/TV/etc.

We have the same problem but if you access your emails on your phone here using 3G or whatever fangled thing it is, you should be able to over there.it costs a bit more but keeps you in touch.
