Just taken delivery of my first book (French Provincial Cooking) with my second (An Omlette and a glass of wine) on order.
Wonderful.
The way she wrote the recipes is so very different from how we have become accustomed. She leaves very little open to interpretation and gives specifics with good reason every time.
Small wonder why brilliant 'modern day' chefs and cooks quote her so frequently, such as Theo Randall and Simon Hopkinson.
