I don't think mine is glued (V8S, so ?? )- its just held in place with the edge tucked under the main console.

Thanks. seems easy enough.

tomorrow nights job sorted then, and putting back the switch plate that i've painted, oh and reconnecting the cigar lighter that i must have damaged when messing with the centre console last time, oh and fix the air vent ducting, oh and fix teh stereo better etc, etc, etc. Don't you just love it....

Mine is also just tucked in.

Its a lot easier if you undo the 2 screws on the side of the centre console right at the back (1 each side) then just ease the console up slightly to push the gaiter underneath.

Erm, remove the centre console irked and reach up behind the main dash - you may find there's enough play to be able to straighten up the gauge. If not theres a U shaped bracket held on with 2 nuts I think - someone posted a pic of the back of a gauge a while back - Norman?
