My boss is putting one of these, 2001 4.2 V8 AHC (?) engine into his Mk1 Mr2 and am interested to have a look at the power graph.

I know it's 340bhp and 317lb/ft of torque but what's the power delivery like? I've tried the interweb but nothing comes up.

Cheers,

Hows he fitting it? Logitudinal with an Audi transaxle or tranverser with some other gearbox? I assume it's going in the middle?

friend put a camry v6 in his mk1 mr2. he had to bend the "boot" out a bit at the back to fit it in. it really was very tight but is a well documented procedure and made quite a nice car to drive.

This is the output graph for the ABZ which is basically the same as the AHC except with different cams and hydraulic shims

Aha, should've guessed you'd have the details. Same Hilly that's doing the VEMS for him?

Yes, longditudinally mid mounted in the Mk1. Needs some "bending" ( laugh ) of the firewalls done.

Cheers for the graph Hilly, that's perfect. smile

That's where we show all our daft Mr2 projects.

Here's the full build thread for you too : http://forums.twobrutal.com/showthread.php?t=11046 go to page 26 (not 13) for the V8 build stuff.

It's all came off the back of PaulM's Mk3 build and the Mk2 build done in the states with the audi 4.2 V8. Should be a bit daft when it's done. More of a show piece of what we can do than a perfect handling/driving car.
