Hi guys,

Where is the best place to go if you want a good night out in London.

Im 18 and in to old(ish) music.

Is there any places in London that smack out the good tunes such as Earth, Wind & Fire, KC and the sunshine, Bee Gees, The Temptations etc...

Now I didn't start this thread for you to have a pop and take the mick out my music taste! Lol. I just want to know if anybody can recomend a place where this sort of music is played and not the modern dribble.

Any help would be nice!

Many thanks,

Baxter.

Lol! Thats my trademark move!

Is this the right forum to post in? I mean, I didn't know which forum to post in due to it being an odd question.

Any places near Kensington?

Thanks,

Baxter

So what's 'oldish' music by your reckoning? The Verve or The White stripes?

Uuurm...

I like mostly music that my parents generation were into really. Earth, Wind and Fire are my favourite. I am a huge fan of The Supremes, The Temps and Phil Collins. I also love Frank Sinatra's music and that is really old!

I just think that to succeed in the music world now, you just need to love music and be confident and more importantly, lucky! Not much talent is required to produce this dance music, surely? I mean, it is all computers isn't it? Not just that, I also dislike the sound and most modern tracks tend to repeat themselves an awful lot!

Obviously you will not find Frank Sinatra in the clubbing world, thank god, but I feel the Bee Gees and Earth, Wind and Fire songs must still be played! There must be thousands of people that like that sort of stuff!!!

Cheers,

Baxter.

Goe out of the train station, jump in a cab, and tell them to take you to "The Axe" in Shoreditch. Tis all you need to know.
