Hi chaps, got a few questions regarding my recently purchased E38 740i.

I love the car, but I can't leave it standard. Nothing max power don't worry, but I feel some improvements and bringing it up to date could take it from being very good, to awesome.

Any suggestions for a wheel suitable for a 7? Ideally I'm looking at 20 inch diameters, and of course staggered widths as they should be. I'd prefer dark / gunmetal spokes and a polished lip. Ideally a chunky spoke, not too sure 5 spokes would suit, so anything more than that.

What offset and widths should I be looking at for 19's / 20's on the E38 to bring them nice and flush with the arches? I don't want to have to roll the arches or any of that rubbish, nor do I want any catching / rubbing etc.
And also does anyone happen to know the centre bore? PCD is 5x120 isn't it?

Second Question...

While I'm busy sorting the cars handling and suspension I'm looking to replace all of the bushes and suspension arms etc with aftermarket ones. But, I've not been able to find much in terms of suspension components. Anyone know of anywhere that sells decent aftermarket suspension arms etc items to replace the OEMs? Shocks and springs I've sorted already, with some eibach springs over some bilstein shocks.

Also, anyone know of any successful rear anti roll bar conversions. I'm told on the 7 series register certain 7 series' outside the UK were fitted with rear anti roll bars, and i believe the 750il had them. Quite why the rest didn't is beyond me, but I'd like to rectify this.

Oh, and if anyone happens to know where I could lay my hands on a blank burr walnut trim centre console piece that matches the OEM one there's a wealth of beer tokens in it for them, as I'd like to get my carPC installed to replace the OEM TV screen etc, but I'm really picky about it needing to look standard. Any suggestions as to who could help with sourcing / making a replacement wood trim panel that wouldn't stand out like a sore thumb?

Cheers!
Stu

In terms of the wheels the centre bore is 72.6 and your right about the offset 5*120. I done know much about aftermarket suspension but I've been told lemforder do a lot of good stuff for the 7. Let me know whats happening with the old wheels if you do replace them.

Cheers Rich, will let you know.

The 5x120 is the PCD for the studs, offset is the distance from the centre line of the wheel to the hub face, not sure how low an offset I can get away with before they get flush enough with the arches without catching.
