Hi,

Just after a little advice on the servicing off my exige.

I bought it new last september and have only done 600 miles since ( I know, i KNOW!) been away for the winter and had a lot going on.

Now I know it is meant to get it's first oil change/check over at 1000-1500 miles, but will I just get a full years service at this point as come september I suspect milage to be around this point?

Or will I get this service and get my first proper service at the 2 year point?

Thanks for all help.

Your 1000 mile 'running in' service(basically an oil change)is free of charge, definately get that done to keep your warranty valid.
Speak to your dealer, you should be able to get your running in service and the 1 year service combined i would have thought?

get down there and get it done and the book stamped...if you want a warranty

...I always feel ripped off if I have to take a car in for a time limited service, rather than ive done the 10K miles in 6 month...paying servicing costs when youve only done a thousand miles in a year or so is a pain

of course, easily remedied by using the car LOTs smile

Hi Nathan,

Sent you a text a while back but don't know if I've got the right number for you. Didn't realise you'd got a 240. Anyway, I would definitely recommend taking it to Hexham Horsless Carriages.

Ask them to do the the aftersales service (they'll just charge you for oil & filter) and ask them to do the inspection parts of the 1st year (9k) service. They should then be able to stamp both the aftersales service and 9k service parts of your book. That way it should actuallly cost you less than a regular service IYSWIM.

Give me a call if you wanna chat about it. 07834 732892

Cheers

Dan Jude
