hi, my friend wants to know his credit rating, but all companies online
want credit card details. He has'nt got a credit card, so can't fill out the form.

He cant get a bank Acc. because his credit rating is zero, and needs to find out WHY.

Any help much appreciated

Get your mate to send £2 to Equifax and £2 to Experian.
Their addresses are on their websites.

Never had to do this myself but can you not pay for it for him and he then pay you back in cash. I assume they only want credit card details for payment?

Also, is your friend on the electoral role where he lives or in the process of being put on? If not tell him to as soon as possible as he won't get an account/credit without doing so

both seem to be punting a free 30 day trial, emailed one of them to get details of their single £2 check, no need for monthly checks

Even for the free 30 day trial, you need to submit your own credit card details online.

The statutory report details and PDFs are on all three websites, it's slightly tricky to find them (they push their monthly services) but they are all there. I sent off all three a couple of weeks ago, Experian sent mine in about a week (I paid online), Equifax about two weeks, not heard back from Call Credit yet.
