Saw a red with red sideblades R8 in Leicester this lunchtime but it had multispoke wheels on rather than the standard fit 5 spoke design wheels. IMO didnt look right. Do Audi do option wheels for the R8 or is it just the this driver had aftermarkets on. The Audi website does not allow to option wheels.

Certainly unique, but I don't think they suit the car at all.

I dont think it makes a difference as it's on google etc anyway mate.

Personally it does make the car look better but drives very hard.

Why is having the plates visible not a good idea? And yes the obvious pun

It makes it easier for people to clone the car. They search forums for pics of cars that they know are unlikely to be on a road near where they plan to use the cloned car. People that see your car in a carpark or on the road are unlikely to clone it as there'd be too much chance of them being seen together/passing and it just wouldn't be worth the risk to them. Why give them a helping hand when it's a 2 min job to remove them from the pics?

I'll leave final judgement till I see them in the flesh but I do agree that from the pic they do look too fussy. The smooth shape of the R8 seems to suit a simpler, few spoke wheel design imo.

The R8 is absolutely stunning in red, but i struggle to see why someone would want to change the standard wheels, they look fantastic already!
