I've noticed that prices have been creeping back up, but £25k for a '97 4.2?

yikes-if it was a 4.5 it would be a bit nearer the mark methinks.

They do say it's cleaner than a clean thing, on clean street on clean day.....

No mileage though.

Clean maybe because no one could face to be seen in it. Cream and Biscuit interior combo is already questionable but especially so when paired with a yellow exterior (yellow needs a dark interior to work well IMO) - then we throw in the use of carbon door panels which again doesn't work with that interior (might work with greys or black but not this). £3k sound system actually means horrid head unit that sticks out a ridiculous amount closed and will look fast and the furious when open - lets not mention blingy wheels.......Me No Likey and that's before the crazy price.

Another thumbs down here. Colour combo not the best, and the wheels do it no favours. However, no reason why we can't use this as a yardstick when setting prices...

Must mean that the 2003 4.2 at £18995 must be complete rubbish ......?

I wonder what its like chassis wise, if its been a full body off rebuild jobbie with no cost spared then possibly worth the asking, but its only really worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Looks way to expensive to me but then i havent been to look at it and tbh if i was spending 25k on a cerb id want a very late 4.5RR wink

Over the last 7 years of ownership my car has had several clutches, new PAS, new aluminium radiator, new air con radiator, new upgraded vented discs all round, new gearbox, full leather re-trim where required including leather headlining, ceramic coated manifolds, body work taken back down to GRP, stress cracks removed and re-painted and new 4.5 litres engine block with my original 4.2 induction. From the RG pictures that car still looks cleaner than mine. Therefore I consider it to be excellent value considering my car is priceless to me!!!!

People should go into ownership with eyes wide open and wallet at the ready to keep these cars in top condition and when the time comes to sell start putting a higher value on these stunning cars.

is that a speaker on the top of the dash in the centre????

or is it a special halfrauds "TypeS" air freshner

I dont think the interior works, the steering wheel looks awfull, however the wheels look ok, i think they would work well on a black/blue/purple cerb.

My cerb is the same exterior colour of that cerb and I quite like the design of the wheels but I think they would look better in black or anthracite. Can you change the colour of wheels like that?

Oh, it is so nice to see the prices going up especially as my engine is even cleaner than that one. Being able to buy a supercar, and thats what they are, for £10k is ridiculous. Would'nt it be nice to see these cars changing hands for that sort of money all the time? cloud9

Personally:

You ad doesn't do you any favours, not much info. Pics aren't great (one shows the handbrake through the roof) wink one's blurry.

people are often scared of early 4.2's though with your mileage it should be ok.

Saying that if I was in the market for a sub 10K car I'd be looking at it.
