Boring I know.
I have today parted with a large deposit for a S/H Canam. After a number of false starts I have actually bitten the bullet! Collecting in a few days so I need to ask you guys who do you insure with and have you any coments to make on them? I see the link to Adrian Flux above but have had some conflicting reports.
As always I value yours comments.

Hegarty, they know what they are talking about, friendly, and inexpensive, Adrian Flux, they hike up your renewal, and are crap if you have a claim, check out previous threads the proof is there.

You will get lots of different answers but I cannot fault Competition Car Insurance.

Competiton gave slightly better quote but all in the £700+ range for <5000miles even though car locked up and I have clean license.
However I like the Hagerty track day cover for 10% of premium per day.

£700???

Are you 17 or do you live in Moss Side Manchester perhaps?
That seems very high. If you want give me a call with your details and Ill have a word with CCI (got to speak to them this week anyway) as that seems way way too high ....unless your running 1500bhp with nitrous smokin

£700 does sound steep - mine's £539 with Haggerty and I live in central Nottingham. Obviously muggings, murders shoot and car theft is all in a normal day here, so can't think why your quotes are so high. Good luck....

Wilder tells me that the problem is down to lack of no claims bonus.
I have 11 years ncb on my main car. don't these companies give you any credit for that?

Hagerty said they weren't interested in no claims bonus - just considered driving record over last few years. I think they said it's a special type of policy - classic or kit car, can't remember which.

Just renewed with Hagarty and they knocked £160 off the price for being a member of the Ultima OC (ie this PH forum!) Fortunately never had to claim, but they seem easy to deal with..and the policy has driving ban cover! (albeit sounds better than the reality of the wording..)

So initially I went with competition but I am now going to change to Hagerty. Their policy gives much better cover especially the track day cover for 10% of premium per event.
