What became of soft-tops

The last one out was the Tamora, and that a few years ago now, and the last car before that was the Cerbera. The Tuscan is really a drop-top, and the T350, T440 and Sigaris are all solid up top. So only one out of the last six new cars has been a true convertible.

Why's that?

Good question. Could it be because the fixed head cars offer better torsional rigidity and therefore are easier to make handle well?

Or could it be simply because all convertibles are 'feminine' cars, and the bulk of TVR's buyers are male.

You only have to look at sales of Tamora's.

No such thing as a masculine convertible (even new 996 turbo is for woman, blokes would always go for hardtop).

Bit of a tricky one. When it was firsted launched I would say it was a blokes car, but now, I would say birds car.

Tuscan/cerbera/350C true TVR 'blokes' cars (not 350T)
