I remember reading in a car mag a while ago about a polish that they'd tested & were very impressed by.
They said it left a hard glassy finish that made old paint work look better then new.
Any one know the stuff they were on about? Failing that any recomendations for polish that works particularly well?

I use zymol , brings up dark green well with high gloss and hides most of "swirl" marks . Smells like coconut suncream, well it works for me !!!

In addition to Zymol you may wish to consider Meguires and of course Autoglym is a tried and tested favourite according to many.

I suppose it also depends on how much you're willing to spend to achieve the ultimate gloss finish! However, some of the cheaper brands are just as effective as the more expensive ones.

IMHO Autoglym products are excellent - they're not THAT expensive and I find that only a small application of their polish leaves the car looking like it's just come out of the showroom.

Keeps the paintwork protected in nasty winter weather and water beads off it like a ducks back!

Certainly agree with the Autoglym comment, they leave a good finish and aren't much more expensive than most of the others, but worth the money everytime.

rub rub rub till you can see your reflection!!!!! (take that anyway you like!!!))

Autoglym polish works for me. Mind you I tried the wheel cleaner which I thought was crap.

I used to use Mer, but then I decided to look for something else when I realized Mer wasn't a 'real' polish. I bought some one-grand omega glaze and some one-grand blitz wax. Just as easy to put on as Mer but ten times better. Takes a bit longer though - glaze first, then wax.

Got mine from www.frost.co.uk - first two items in the car care section.
