Help with cleaning sensor!!
Discussion
Afternoon all,
as some of you may have noticed from some of my previous posts, since being in Marrakesh i have had really bad dust and other crap showing on the sensor, how do i go about cleaning this? is there anywhere in nottingham that would do this for me, or any PHer in nottingham tht is willing to help me do this for beer tokens or cash whatever really. Im off to France 2 weeks tomorrow and would love to get this sorted before i go. I have just called jessops in nottingham but they send off to be sorted and turn around is circa 3 weeks (i dont even know if i could live with out my camera for that long!!)
Thanks for any help in advance
Matt

Matt,
Whilst you are at LCE you could get them to give you an opinion about how your camera is performing. Over the months I've often thought that you images are slightly 'unsharp' for reasons unknown - the Exif does not always point to an obvious possibility like a very slow shutter speed or the like.
On the basis of checking the cleaning you could ask to try your body with a demo lens and your lens on a demo body to see how they compare. It's only going to need 4 or 5 shots so I would imagine they will be OK with the idea.
Make sure the battery is fully charged when you take it in - just in case they don't have a fully charged one to use during the cleaning process.

Vangaurd Tripod,
I recognise the word 'tripod'.As to whether it is any good - depends on what you want to do with it. I have a few cheap 7dayshop tripods that suffice for most of my needs and at the price I don't care if they get trashed. But mainly I use them to hold flash units or so support my 600mm lens which is just too heavy to hand hold successfully. My expectations are low, but satisfied in the main.
