Hi chaps,

Out of interest, do you think an 1978 standard chevy engine on holly carb and luminition would get through the new IVA test ok? I know that pre 75 engines are exempt and that 75 to 86 engines have to meet CO2 <4.5% and HC <1200ppm. My question is will a standard engine meet this requirement?

Many thanks!

If it is jetted properly and does not have a radical cam then yes.
The difficult bit is the jetting as there are not so many places in the UK that can jet a Holley.

My 82 sbc + holley went through at 2.5% so I don't see why you should have a prob.
